The Option Philosophy

Your beliefs create your feelings, behaviors and the reality you experience.

If you want to feel happier you can, by changing your beliefs!

  • In our culture, we’ve been taught we aren’t in charge of our emotions, but rather it’s outside circumstances (people and events) that cause our happiness and unhappiness. As a result, the more things don’t go as we desire, the more we believe we are incapable of feeling good.
  • The truth is our ability to feel good doesn’t come from getting everything to happen just the way we want it to. It comes from how we perceive our world (events, others, and ourselves); what we decide to believe about everything around us.
  • From the moment we wake in the morning, until we go to bed at night, we are choosing our perspective, by asking ourselves if what is occurring is good for us or bad for us. Depending upon whether we decide something is good or bad, and to what degree, will determine the feelings we experience.
  • When we decide if something is good or bad we are creating a belief, which supports our happiness or unhappiness. Whether it’s how we view our face in the mirror, what we think about our love relationship, or how we perceive the state of the world, as we choose our perspective we form beliefs, and our feelings flow from those beliefs.

  • Embracing the Option Philosophy, that we choose the beliefs that create our emotions, provides us new power and freedom. Understanding our role as conscious creators empowers us to take charge of our emotional life, as we finally are able to help ourselves feel good by changing our beliefs.
